Engineering Team Lead – Mechanical Design
Location: Tottenham, Ontario
Salary: $80,000–$90,000 + Benefits, RRSP Contributions, and Advancement Opportunities

Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Oversee, mentor, and inspire a talented team of mechanical designers.
- Design Expertise: Create new designs, re-engineer legacy prints, and produce reverse-engineered drawings based on customer specifications.
- Quality Oversight: Review, approve, and finalize shop drawings, bills of materials, and fabrication designs to maintain the highest quality standards.
- Process Optimization: Implement improvements to streamline departmental workflows and enhance team productivity.
- Customer Solutions: Analyze client needs and deliver innovative, tailored technical solutions.
- Product Development: Design, test, and implement new products while maintaining records and ensuring quality compliance.
- Reporting: Provide management with detailed project updates and insights into team performance.
Qualifications
- Education: Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: At least 5 years in mechanical design, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership capacity.
- Industry Expertise: Proficiency in custom metal, steel, and aluminum fabrication processes.
- Leadership Abilities: Proven ability to organize, motivate, and mentor junior team members.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
