QMS Coordinator – Milton, ON
12-18 month maternity leave contract
Reporting to the Inventory Manager, the successful candidate will oversee the Quality Assurance and Inventory Management by applying quality & safety programs such as HACCP, SOP, and regular self-inspection audit. The successful candidate will carry out regular comprehensive analysis of inventory transactions to identify problems, recommend solutions and drive implementation of improved practices. The incumbent will work with client QA to ensure that: all customer QA requirements are being met, all QA concerns are being relayed, all QA questions are being answered, deviation, change control, CAPA are closed off, the site Quality System is being monitored, audited and updated as required regularly.
Principal Accountabilities:
Maintains Quality System attributes including all SOPs, HACCP and GMP requirements
Ensures compliance with Health Canada CFIA Standards.
Ensures that the site quality system is reviewed frequently and updated accordingly, including pest control, sanitation deviations, change controls and self-inspections.
Manages, documents and supports client customer complaint as per SOP.
Supports and assists with client Recalls/Mock Recalls as per SOP.
Maintains inventory data integrity and tracks accuracy of inventory
Researches root cause of inventory discrepancies by extracting data and using supplier inventory data.
Designs implement and test internal controls, documentation, reporting, training, systems and solutions to drive inventory accuracy.
Establishes partnership with client and operations to build inventory accuracy.
Works with client to support and prepare inventory traceability such as: Recalls and Mock Recalls.
Develops and maintains cycle count activities/annual count by leading counting activities, variance reporting and reconciliation of counting cycle.
Challenges the status quo by developing and recommending modification to existing processes and methodologies with a constant focus on continuous improvement.
Develops, manages and implements weekly analysis reporting.
Ensures compliance with Health and Safety procedures and practices.
Knowledge and Skills:
3 – 5 years in a fast paced environment with a proven track record
Experience Leading and Implementing Quality & Food Safety programs (i.e. HACCP)
Knowledge of Health Canada Good Manufacturing Practices, CFIA Regulations and ISO 9001/22000
Team oriented individual able to work constructively and cooperatively with team members as well as with other departments
Strong attention to detail and quality focused
Ability to conduct the root cause analysis and proactively analyze findings and identify opportunities for improvement
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A high degree of initiative and the ability to work in a team environment are essential
Excellent knowledge of overall warehousing processes
Strong computer skills
Post-secondary degree an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12-18 months
Pay: $60,000.00 per year
