Job Position: Production Support Specialist

Location: Scarborough

Shift: 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday

Wage: Up to $30.00 per hour, based on experience

Responsibilities include:

• Provide operational support in a sheet metal fabrication environment
• Responsible for assembly design and details for ongoing projects.
• Review designs and drawings for accuracy, thoroughness and adherence to scope of work
• Create work orders for jobs based on open orders
• Establish Bill Of Material (BOM) and kit hardware as required
• Work closely with operations Manager, supervisor and programmer to facilitate weekly production targets
• Provide technical problem solving skills to quality related issues
• Provide engineering support to production team, including assembly design and details for ongoing projects
• Communicate with customers for technical support as needed
• Conduct investigations of deviations and non-conformances
• Provide back-up support in programming for laser and CNC turret punch press

Qualifications:

• Diploma Mechanical Engineering/Design preferred
• Sheet metal fabrication experience required 3-5 years
• Programming experience preferred not required
• 3-5 years previous job experience preferred
• Proficient in Solid Works and Microsoft Office
• Possess strong understanding of manufacturing process
• Read and interpret technical blue prints / drawings
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Detail oriented
• Problem solver
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with co-workers and/or customers
• Occasional Saturdays
