Bookkeeper

Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, including invoices, payments, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and deposits
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and account reconciliations
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial performance; report variances
- Maintain relationships with financial institutions and support audits and year-end processes
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, taxes, and internal policies
- Maintain organized documentation, records, and filing systems
- Support and oversee day-to-day accounting operations and provide guidance to staff as needed
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Ensure proper controls, data security, and backup procedures are in place
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or within a team
