Cylindrical Grinder

$30-$40/hr
- Set up and operate multi-axis CNC grinding machines, including live tooling.
- Read and interpret manufacturing drawings and basic GD&T.
- Perform first-off inspections and verify parts using calibrated measuring instruments.
- Adjust tooling, offsets, and machine parameters as required.
- Maintain quality, traceability, and accurate production documentation.
- Knowledge of manual and CNC grinding operations, tooling, CAM files, and post processor codes.
- Ensure machines are clean, inspected, and operating efficiently.
- Execute the assigned manufacturing job(s) on the assigned CNC machine(s).
- Prepare setup for request of a first-off inspection either by an Inspector or Supervision.
Requirements
- Minimum 4+ years of experience operating and setting up CNC grinding machines in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of manual and CNC grinding operations, tooling selection, wheel dressing, offsets, and machine adjustments.
- Experience working with multi-axis CNC grinders, including machines with live tooling and automated setups.
- Ability to read and interpret complex manufacturing drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
- Experience performing first-off inspections, in-process checks, and final quality verification to tight tolerances.
- Knowledge of CAM files, G-code/post processor codes, and basic CNC program editing.
- Basic computer skills and manufacturing software experience preferred.
- Post-secondary education in Machining, Manufacturing, or a related trade is considered an asset.
