Electrical Assembler
Location: Newmarket, Ontario
Pay Rate: $24-26/hour

Schedule: Day Shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Fabrication & Installation: Assemble and install brackets, hangers, and supports for electrical devices such as control panels, limit switches, solenoids, and push buttons.
• Conduit Installation: Install electrical conductor enclosures (e.g., conduits) to connect panels and machine-related devices.
• Electrical Connections: Prepare, install, and secure electrical conductors while ensuring mechanical stability and proper insulation.
• Labeling: Accurately label installed devices using appropriate identification tags (e.g., lamicoid or metal tags).
• Tool Operation: Operate and maintain hand and power tools, including screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, calipers, drills, soldering irons, and grinders.
• Assembly & Repair: Assemble, test, and repair electrical control equipment and wiring for machine tool electrification.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret blueprints and specifications to plan and execute installations for control panels, switches, and related electrical devices.

Qualifications

• Education: Post-secondary education in Electrical Techniques or Engineering is preferred.
• Experience: 1–2 years of hands-on experience in electrical assembly or panel building.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Tool Proficiency: Skilled in using a wide range of hand and power tools.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills.
