Job description:

We are looking for a skilled MIG Welder to join our client in Barrie. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in welding, fabrication, and reading technical drawings. Experience working with mild steel is required. CWB certification is considered an asset. All candidates will be required to complete a welding test.

Pay: $26/hr -$27/hr

Shift: 7am to 4pm Monday to Friday

Location Barrie

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG welding on mild steel and other metals according to job specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and weld symbols.
• Set up welding equipment and ensure proper machine settings.
• Inspect welds for accuracy, quality, and adherence to company standards.
• Perform basic fabrication tasks, including cutting, grinding, and fitting.
• Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions.
• Follow all safety regulations and workplace procedures

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a MIG welder, specifically with mild steel (minimum 3 years preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Strong understanding of welding techniques and metal properties.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
• CWB certification GMAW
