Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled MIG Welder to join our client in Barrie. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in welding, fabrication, and reading technical drawings. Experience working with mild steel is required. CWB certification is considered an asset. All candidates will be required to complete a welding test.

Pay: $26/hr

Shift: 7am to 4pm Monday to Friday

Location Barrie

Key Responsibilities:

Perform MIG welding on mild steel and other metals according to job specifications.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and weld symbols.

Set up welding equipment and ensure proper machine settings.

Inspect welds for accuracy, quality, and adherence to company standards.

Perform basic fabrication tasks, including cutting, grinding, and fitting.

Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions.

Follow all safety regulations and workplace procedures

Requirements:

Proven experience as a MIG welder, specifically with mild steel (minimum 3 years preferred).

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.

Strong understanding of welding techniques and metal properties.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.

CWB certification GMAW
