We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer with a strong technical understanding of fluid handling, process systems, and industrial processing equipment. This role is ideal for someone with experience designing, integrating, and commissioning process systems, particularly within the food and beverage, sanitary processing, or related equipment manufacturing sectors.

The successful candidate will have the ability to translate process requirements into practical system designs, including equipment selection, piping layouts, instrumentation, controls, and process optimization.

A background in food and beverage equipment design and integration is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and modify Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for industrial process systems.
• Size and select process equipment, piping, valves, pumps, instrumentation, and related components.
• Develop and optimize fluid and material processing systems based on customer and production requirements.
• Evaluate process performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, throughput, reliability, and product quality.
• Analyze process data and make recommendations for system and design improvements.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues by evaluating variables such as flow rates, machine speed, material input, pressure, and temperature.
• Work closely with mechanical, electrical, automation, and controls teams to ensure integrated system performance.
• Conduct safety and risk assessments and ensure designs meet applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support quality assurance, technical documentation, and project documentation requirements.
• Communicate directly with clients to address technical questions, project requirements, and timeline concerns.
• Participate in equipment and system start-up, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting at customer sites.
• Prepare and maintain technical drawings and documentation using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Food, or related Engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of Process Engineering experience involving industrial processing or fluid handling systems.
• Strong understanding of process equipment, piping systems, pumps, valves, instrumentation, and process controls.
• Experience within food and beverage processing, sanitary processing, or food equipment design and integration is strongly preferred.
• Experience designing, integrating, or commissioning complete process systems is highly desirable.
• Understanding of electrical systems, automation, and PLC-controlled equipment; PLC programming experience is an asset.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex process and equipment issues.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work directly with customers and cross-functional technical teams.
