Finance Manager

Responsibilities
- Lead monthly financial reporting, close activities, variance analysis, and performance commentary for manufacturing operations
- Own standard costing: budgeting, updates, analysis of cost drivers, and ensuring accuracy of cost data and financial results
- Deliver operational and financial insights to support daily decisions, forecasting, and long-term planning
- Partner with operations and business leaders to review results, challenge assumptions, and drive corrective actions to meet annual targets
- Prepare budgets and forecasts aligned with company strategy; monitor spending and highlight risks and opportunities
- Develop regular reporting and ad hoc analysis for senior leadership, translating data into clear business recommendations
- Support sales and operations with P&L analysis and ROI-focused guidance
- Act as finance lead on cross-functional initiatives, identifying efficiencies, benchmarking performance, and tracking improvements
- Promote accountability for key performance drivers and contribute to process and business improvement discussions
Qualifications
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field; CPA or MBA considered an asset
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in cost accounting and/or financial analysis, ideally within a manufacturing environment (CPG experience preferred)
- Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting complex financial and operational data
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; familiarity with ERP or financial systems
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Highly adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to manage changing priorities and deadlines
