Job description:
We’re seeking a licensed Industrial Millwright Mechanic to maintain and repair production and building equipment in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. This role involves hands-on troubleshooting, fabrication, and preventive maintenance to keep equipment safe, reliable, and efficient. Rotating 7’s.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production machinery and facility equipment.
- Fabricate and modify mechanical parts to improve machine safety and efficiency.
- Service and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Inspect, repair, and align pumps, valves, and power transmission components.
- Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and fluid power schematics to diagnose issues.
- Operate and safely use general shop tools and equipment such as lathes, grinders, and welders.
- Perform rigging and hoisting operations safely and efficiently.
- Weld and join metals using oxy-acetylene and electric arc techniques.
- Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and overhead cranes as required.
- Adhere to lockout/tagout and all plant safety procedures.
- Complete preventive maintenance and food defense program documentation accurately.
- Support after-hours maintenance and shift work as needed to keep production running smoothly.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Valid Industrial Millwright License (433A) required.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Skilled in troubleshooting, fabrication, and precision alignment.
- Comfortable working with heavy machinery and using hand and power tools safely.
- Knowledge of rigging, hoisting, and welding practices.
- Familiar with preventive maintenance and reliability principles.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, particularly during production breakdowns
