Job position: Retail Customer Service Representative
Avery HR is seeking a friendly and professional Retail Customer Service Representative to join our team located in Innisfil, Ontario. In this role, you will be the face of the retail outlet, providing exceptional service to customers, assisting with product selections, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and passionate about helping customers find solutions that meet their needs. Experience in contractor, building materials or hardware sales is a definite asset.
Hours of operation are 6:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday and 7:00am to 5:00pm on Saturdays. Flexibility to work within these hours is a must.
Duties
- Greet customers and assist them with product inquiries and selections
- Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to customers
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments
- Upsell products and services to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain merchandising standards on the sales floor, ensuring products are well-organized and attractive
- Provide information about store promotions, policies, and loyalty programs
- Handle customer questions or complaints professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
- Support store team in achieving sales targets through effective communication and teamwork
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service or retail sales environments is required
- Strong communication skills in English is required
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic math skills for handling transactions
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
