Position: Cash Application Supervisor

Location: Concord, On

Salary: 70k annually

Hours: Monday to Friday (In Office) 9am-5:30pm

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Cash Application team while assigning daily workloads and managing priorities.
• Oversee accurate application of cheques, EFT/ACH, wires, credit cards, online payments, and branch deposits.
• Monitor and resolve unapplied cash, unidentified receipts, deductions, misapplications, and aged exceptions.
• Review reconciliations between bank activity, payment processors, ERP cash batches, and customer accounts.
• Oversee branch tender and deposit reconciliation and escalate variances or control concerns.
• Support Credit, Collections, Treasury, Accounting, Branches, Sales, Customer Service, and IT with payment and account-related issues.
• Ensure appropriate documentation, approvals, audit trails, and segregation of duties are maintained.
• Prepare cash application and exception reporting, including unapplied cash, posting accuracy, turnaround times, and reconciliation variances.
• Support month-end close and audit requirements.
• Lead system improvements, automation, testing, and process standardization.
• Ensure customer and banking information is handled confidentially and securely.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in cash applications, accounts receivable, treasury, or order-to-cash operations.
• 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Experience in a high-volume, multi-branch or multi-entity environment.
• Strong knowledge of payment applications, reconciliations, unapplied cash, deductions, and month-end processes.
• Experience with Infor M3 or another major ERP system.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and reconciliation analysis.
• Experience with VersaPay, BlackLine/Rimilia, SX.e, banking platforms, or payment processors is an asset.
