Job description:            Installation and Service Technician

Pay:                                       19.00-$23.00 per hour

Location:                           Burlington, ON

Hours:                                 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday

Located in Burlington , ON, our client manufactures tarpaulin systems for the truck and trailer industry. On their behalf, Avery HR is recruiting an Installation and Service Technician.

This is not a cabling or network job. You must have experience working with industrial, heavy-duty fabrics.

Duties include:

• Install and service trailer systems while helping ensure products are completed and delivered on time.
• Complete assembly, installation, and service work within set timelines.
• Read and understand work orders and communicate job requirements clearly with the team.
• Help organize work priorities and support team members as needed.
• Troubleshoot and fix installation issues to avoid delays.
• Follow all health and safety rules and wear required PPE.
• Ensure all work is completed correctly and meets quality standards.
• Assist with inventory checks and report material shortages to purchasing or production teams.
• Perform quality checks to confirm completed work matches customer requirements.
• Report any problems, delays, or concerns to the supervisor.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Applicant must be fluent communicating in English, both written and oral.
• A minimum of 3 years in the service/repair industry as a technician is preferred.
• Must be experienced in team leadership, decision making, and priority setting and have an excellent customer service mentality.
• Must be proficient in the use of power hand tools and be able to read a tape measure.
• Must be reliable and punctual. Must have good customer service skills.

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)
